AGA TEODOROWSKA

Counsellor

I am a qualified counsellor offering a warm and caring confidential counselling service. I provide a safe environment for people to explore challenges or difficulties with the aim of finding solutions to suit the individual.

My theoretical perspective is Person Centred. I recognise and value each person as a unique individual.

I believe that the key in my therapeutic work is simply being there for you with an open heart and mind. Being fully present means meeting you and your life's journey with empathy and compassion, because I know from the experience how powerful it can be to feel really seen and understood.

Qualifications:

  • COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling at the University of Strathclyde.

  • I am an accredited member of the The British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their ethical framework.

Experience:

  • I have worked with a variety of issues including trauma, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, bereavement, self-harm and suicidal thoughs.

  • I have gained my clinical experience working for various organisations, including St Margeret's Hospice, Ayrshire Hospice, Cardonald College and the Tom Allan Centre in Glasgow. I also worked in an agency offering work place counsellling.

Before retraining as a counsellor I worked with young adults with learning difficulties as well as victims of trauma.
